Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Principal Civil Engineer to lead multidisciplinary teams within its Water division, delivering complex UK water infrastructure projects. You will shape technical strategy, manage client relationships and drive delivery across clean water and wastewater portfolios.

The role focuses on leadership, collaboration and the advancement of engineering excellence, while aligning with safety, quality and sustainability commitments.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with membership of a recognised professional institution.
Experience leading complex design and delivery frameworks or design and build projects.
Digital curiosity and proficiency with engineering tools and data.
Strong communication across multi-disciplinary teams and external partners.
Working knowledge of project and programme management, contracts and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

Lead multidisciplinary teams across a portfolio of water projects.
Provide technical direction and guidance to achieve delivery success.
Manage client relationships and drive collaboration across design disciplines.
Ensure quality assurance and adherence to company systems.
Plan, direct and control tasks, resources and outputs.

Chartered Engineer (CEng) / Incorporated Engineer (IEng)

ICE / CIWEM / IWO membership
