Job summary

UK Power Networks in Crawley/Maidstone offers a Senior Civil Design Engineer role with hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days remote). You’ll develop civil and structural designs for substations, overhead lines and cable projects, ensuring safety, compliance and cost-effectiveness through concept to construction.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and strong utilities experience, with CDM 2015 and AutoCAD knowledge; Chartered status is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Civil engineering degree required with utilities sector experience.
• Strong knowledge of CDM 2015 and IOSH training.
• AutoCAD knowledge essential; Bentley software advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee civil/structural designs for substations, overhead lines and cable projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Ensure designs meet CDM 2015, standards and project objectives.
