Job summary

UK Power Networks is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to join the Bury St Edmunds office, reporting to the Design Lead. The role is permanent and hybrid after probation, with 3 days in the office and 2 remote.

A salary of £84,160 plus a 3% bonus is offered, with strong benefits and career development opportunities. The successful candidate will Produce civil/structural designs, ensure CDM 2015 compliance, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver regulated network solutions for

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree with relevant Substation, Overhead Line and Cable experience.
• Knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations and their application.
• Experience in civil/structural design and approved designs.
• Familiar with AutoCAD; Bentley software advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce civil designs from defined scope with costings and time/budget targets.
• Ensure compliance with CDM 2015 and industry standards.
• Oversee production of technical, commercial and contractual documents.
• Collaborate with project managers, electrical designers and coordinators.
• Mentor Trainee and Graduate Engineers to develop skills.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary design activities and site visits.
