UK Power Networks is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to lead civil and structural design for substations, overhead lines and cable infrastructure across the UK. You will report to the Design Lead, coordinate with project managers, electrical designers and CAD teams, and ensure designs meet safety, quality and cost targets.

Candidates will hold a Civil Engineering degree with proven utilities-sector experience, including CDM 2015 knowledge, AutoCAD, and ideally Chartered status or Bentley

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree and proven experience delivering civil and structural engineering projects within utilities, especially substations, overhead lines and cable infrastructure.
• Confident approving designs, solving technical challenges and delivering practical, cost-effective solutions independently.
• Strong knowledge of CDM 2015, safety culture, IOSH training and AutoCAD experience are essential.
• Chartered status, Bentley software knowledge and wider power engineering experience are advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Lead design of civil and structural designs for substations, overhead lines and cable infrastructure.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary designs and support procurement activities.
• Produce construction-ready drawings with the CAD team and mentor junior engineers.
