Job summary

UK Power Networks is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to develop and oversee civil and structural designs for substations, overhead lines, and cable projects. You will work with Project Managers, Electrical Designers and Principal Designers to ensure safety, compliance and constructability.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, mentor trainees, manage technical documentation and support design assurance activities, while fostering strong client and contractor relationships to

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree plus strong civil/structural experience in utilities (substations, OH lines, cable infra).
• Proficient in CDM 2015; IOSH training.
• Proficient with AutoCAD; Bentley software experience; Chartership advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee civil/structural designs for substations, overhead lines and cable projects.
• Manage technical and procurement documentation and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor Graduate/Trainee Engineers and perform Designer/Principal Designer responsibilities as needed.
• Collaborate with customers, contractors and CAD specialists to drive projects from enquiry to completion.
