Job summary

UK Power Networks seeks a design engineer to lead civil and structural design for Heathrow. You will own projects from tender through construction and handover, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance while mentoring junior engineers.

With an MSc in Civil Engineering and hands-on experience in reinforced concrete and structural steel, you’ll use Revit, Robot and Vehicle Tracker to deliver cost-effective, standards-compliant solutions at Heathrow.

Qualifications

• MSc in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience delivering building works projects in utilities or related sectors.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete and structural steel design.
• Proficient in Autodesk design tools such as Revit, Robot and Vehicle Tracker.
• Chartered Engineer status or progression towards ICE is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Independently produce civil and structural designs from tender through to construction and handover.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors and consultants; manage technical, commercial and contractual documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety, governance and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical guidance to Graduate, Trainee and Design Engineers.
