UK Power Networks seeks a Senior Civil Design Engineer to autonomously produce civil and structural designs for tendering, construction and handover. You will ensure designs comply with safety, governance, and CDM requirements while coordinating with clients, suppliers, and CAD teams to drive project delivery.

The role requires MSc in Civil Engineering, significant utility-sector experience, and Chartered status or proximity to ICE fellowship.

Qualifications

• MSc Civil Engineering degree level or equivalent.
• Civil engineering background with building works in utility sector.
• Proven experience in reinforced concrete and structural steel.
• Proficient in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Chartered engineer or near membership of ICE.

Responsabilités

• Produce civil/structural designs for tendering, construction and handover.
• Ensure designs meet health and safety, design assurance and CDM requirements.
• Prepare technical, commercial, and contractual documentation for procurement of services and products.
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers, contractors and CAD team to support project delivery.
• Mentor Trainee, Graduate and Design Engineers to enhance technical proficiency.
