Job summary
UK Power Networks Services in Heathrow is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to autonomously produce civil and structural designs for tendering, construction and handover. You will ensure designs meet safety and governance requirements and coordinate with clients, contractors and suppliers to support project delivery.
The role requires mentoring engineers, producing design documentation, and ensuring compliance with UK standards and CDM regulations.
Qualifications
- MSc Civil Engineering degree or equivalent.
- Civil/structural design experience in utilities or airports is preferred.
- Proficient with Autodesk suite for civil design (Robot, Revit).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience signing off design packages for construction.
Responsibilities
- Autonomous production of civil and structural designs for tendering, construction and handover packages.
- Ensure designs comply with safety, governance and audit requirements.
- Prepare technical, commercial and contractual documentation for procurement of services and products.
- Mentor trainees and engineers to develop technical proficiency.
