Job summary

UK Power Networks Services at Heathrow is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to lead civil and structural design from tender through construction and handover, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Reporting to the Principal Civil Design Engineer, you will mentor Graduate and Trainee engineers, coordinate with clients and contractors, and drive cost-effective solutions while meeting British Standards and company standards.

Qualifications

• MSc in Civil Engineering or equivalent required.
• Experience delivering building works projects in utilities or related infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Autodesk design tools: Revit, Robot, Vehicle Tracker.

Responsibilities

• Produce civil and structural designs from tender through construction and handover.
• Manage technical, commercial and contractual documentation and coordinate with clients/contractors.
• Assess third-party works affecting electricity assets and support CDM Principal Designer duties.
• Oversee CAD design packages and provide technical guidance to Graduate, Trainee and Design Engineers.
