Job summary

UK Power Networks Services in Heathrow is seeking a Civil Engineering graduate to develop design expertise on critical infrastructure projects. You will work in a multidisciplinary team, supporting design from concept through construction and commissioning, collaborating with civil, structural and electrical engineers, CAD specialists and quantity surveyors.

You will contribute to technical and procurement documentation, assist with third‑party works assessments, and help reduce risk through

Qualifications

• A Civil Engineering degree is required; strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and an understanding of Autodesk design software is expected.
• Experience in the utilities sector is advantageous; knowledge of reinforced concrete, structural steel, drainage, roadworks, cable routes and building services is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support projects from initial design through construction and commissioning.
• Collaborate with civil, structural, and electrical engineers, CAD specialists and quantity surveyors to produce safe, compliant designs.
• Contribute to technical and procurement documentation and assess third‑party works.
• Liaise with clients and suppliers and explore innovative engineering solutions to drive project success.
