Job summary

Soho House & Co. in Manchester is seeking a Senior Chef de Partie to bolster the kitchen brigade and deliver exceptional dining experiences for our members and guests. You will prepare, cook, and present dishes in line with the club’s food philosophy, demonstrate technical expertise, and role‑model hygiene and teamwork.

You’ll support menu development, ensure allergy procedures, train juniors, and contribute to a proactive kitchen culture with continuous learning and high standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in similar capacity.
• Passion for food, attention to detail, and a strong desire to learn and grow.
• Understanding of basic food safety and hygiene practices.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Culinary qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 1 or 2) is a plus but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your section to high standards.
• Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef during busy periods and events.
• Ensure full compliance with food safety, allergy, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
• Take ownership of mise en place and prep tasks for service.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff.
• Attend meetings and participate in daily tastings and menu updates.
• Participate in team meals and contribute to training and development.
• Assist with deep cleaning of the kitchen and proper storage after service.
