Job summary

Soho House is seeking a Senior Chef de Partie to assist in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our members and guests. You will prepare, cook, and present dishes in line with the club’s food philosophy, while leading by example and ensuring HACCP compliance.

You’ll contribute to menu development, train junior staff, manage mise en place, and maintain high standards during busy service periods, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in similar capacity.
• Passion for food, attention to detail, and a strong desire to learn and grow.
• Understanding of basic food safety and hygiene practices.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive, proactive, and respectful attitude in a busy kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your section to the highest standards in quality, consistency, and presentation.
• Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in delivering efficient and well-organized service during busy periods and events.
• Ensure full compliance with all food safety, allergy, hygiene, and health standards, including HACCP and company policies.
• Take ownership of mise en place and prep tasks, ensuring all elements are ready and of high quality for service.
• Assist in the training and mentoring of Commis Chefs and Demi Chefs de Partie, helping to develop their technical skills and kitchen knowledge.
• Attending regular meetings with front and back of house teams to learn about any menu or service changes and specials alongside daily tastings.
• Assist in preparation of team meals as requested, considering dietary needs and variety.
• Demonstrate a proactive attitude towards learning, improvement, and teamwork.
• Supporting with the deep cleaning of the entire kitchen before close.
• Wrapping unused items and storing them in proper area at the end of service.

Education

Culinary qualification (NVQ Level 1 or 2)
