Job summary

Soho House in Manchester is seeking a Senior Chef de Partie to join a vibrant kitchen brigade. You will support the Sous and Head Chef, lead by example in food safety, and help maintain high standards across service.

With 2+ years in a busy venue, you’ll bring passion for food, teamwork, and flexibility. The role includes ongoing training, menu development input, and involvement in allergy procedures and club policies. This is a full-time on-site position in the UK.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in similar capacity.
• Passion for food, attention to detail, and a strong desire to learn and grow.
• Understanding of basic food safety and hygiene practices.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive, proactive, and respectful attitude in a busy kitchen environment.
• Culinary qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 1 or 2) is a plus but not essential.
• Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School
• Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Ability to take direction, work in a team environment and autonomously

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your section to the highest standards in quality, consistency, and presentation.
• Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in delivering efficient and well-organized service during busy periods and events.
• Ensure full compliance with all food safety, allergy, hygiene, and health standards, including HACCP and company policies.
• Take ownership of mise en place and prep tasks, ensuring all elements are ready and of high quality for service.
• Assist in the training and mentoring of Commis Chefs and Demi Chefs de Partie, helping to develop their technical skills and kitchen knowledge.
• Attending regular meetings with front and back of house teams to learn about any menu or service changes and specials alongside daily tastings.
• Assist in preparation of team meals as requested, considering dietary needs and variety.
• Demonstrate a proactive attitude towards learning, improvement, and teamwork.
• Supporting with the deep cleaning of the entire kitchen before close.
• Wrapping unused items and storing them in proper area at the end of service.
