Job summary

Bestway Wholesale Limited is seeking a Category Manager to lead category plans that maximise sales and profit for Bestway Retail and our Retailers. The role covers ranging, pricing, strategy development, supplier management, and promotional planning, with mentoring of Category Assistants.

You will drive category strategy, secure income for media support, and ensure timely admin delivery while working across the UK markets. A competitive salary and benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in FMCG Wholesale or Retail (Buying/Sales/Category Management).
• Proven ability to create and deliver Category Strategy and promotional plans.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver category plans that meet budget for sales, margin and cash profit.
• Maximise availability across product categories through sound commercial reasoning.
• Negotiate income from suppliers for media promotions and initiatives.
• Ranging and pricing in line with current pricing policy and strategy.
• Analyse promotional effectiveness and forecasts for product categories.
