Job summary

Bestway Wholesale Limited is seeking a Category Manager to deliver Category Plans that maximise sales and profit for Bestway Retail and our Retailers. The role covers ranging, pricing, strategy development, supplier management, promotional planning and mentoring Category Assistants.

The position requires significant FMCG Wholesale/Retail experience, strong negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to analyse performance and market data to drive commercial decisions.

Qualifications

• Significant FMCG Wholesale or Retail experience.
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Tenacity, determination and assertiveness for commercial outcomes.
• Experience creating category strategies and promotional plans.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Category Plans to maximise sales and margin across Bestway Retail and retailers.
• Ranging, pricing and strategy development for assigned categories.
• Manage supplier relationships and Joint Business Plans.
• Negotiate income from suppliers for media and promotional support.
• Analyse promotional effectiveness and forecasts for product categories.
• Mentor Category Assistants and oversee category activities.
