Job summary

St Philips Care Group is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to lead a team, support the home manager, and ensure high-quality care for residents at Leys Park Care Centre in Dunfermline. The role emphasises dignity, person-centred care, and independence for residents.

The successful candidate will have care leadership experience, a passion for elderly care, and relevant qualifications, with training and development supported by the employer.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 / MA L3 in Health and Social Care or working towards it.
• Previous experience as a senior in a Residential Care or Nursing Home.
• Passion for care of the elderly.
• Experience of Medication Administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and co-ordinate a team of care workers to provide high standards of care.
• Support the Manager in the overall management of the home.
• In the Manager's absence, assume responsibilities and maintain patient dignity and independence.
• Contribute to care planning and ensure appropriate medication delivery.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect residents' rights.
• Participate in in-service training and ensure adherence to policies.
