Job summary

St Philips Care Group is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for The Grove Skellingthorpe Care Centre. You will lead a team of care workers to deliver high‑quality, dignified care, supporting the manager and stepping in during their absence. A friendly, close-knit team environment awaits.

The role focuses on person-centred care, maintaining residents’ independence, and upholding confidentiality with a commitment to ongoing training and development within a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 /MA L3 in Health and Social Care or working towards it.
• Previous experience of as a senior in a Residential Care or Nursing Home.
• A Passion for Care of the Elderly.
• Experience of Medication Administration

Responsibilities

• Understand health needs and effects on clients and family when ongoing care is needed.
• Assist the client in any area of daily care needs which they would normally undertake themselves if they were able to do so.
• Participate in holistic caring activities.
• Care for all clients’ needs to optimise independence.
• Promote residents’ participation in care planning.
• Maintain medication and care delivery for a designated group of service users.
• Understand the right to confidentiality.
• Move and handle, assist with daily hygiene and dressing.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition.
• Report hazards or unsafe equipment to Manager.
• Attend in-service training and mandatory training.
• Ensure service is delivered per policies and practices

Education
