Job summary

St Philips Care Group in Chilton is seeking a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our close-knit team at Chilton Care Centre. You will support the Manager, lead a team of care workers and ensure the dignity and independence of residents are upheld.

We value hands-on experience in residential or nursing home settings, a passion for elder care, and or NVQ/L3 qualifications. Training is provided, with a supportive environment and opportunities to develop within the company.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 / MA L3 in Health and Social Care or working towards it.
• Previous experience as a senior in a Residential Care or Nursing Home.
• A Passion for Care of the Elderly.
• Experience of Medication Administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and co-ordinate a team of care workers to provide the highest standards of care, ensuring residents' dignity is maintained.
• Support the Manager in the overall management of the home.
• Assume responsibilities in the Manager's absence and promote person-centred care and independence.
• Move and handle residents safely and assist with daily hygiene and dressing needs.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition and ensure care plans are followed.
