Job summary

Nurseplus UK Ltd in Plymouth is seeking a Senior Care Coordinator to lead day-to-day care delivery and rota management. You will oversee care visits, staff scheduling and onboarding of new service users, ensuring safe, person-centred support and high service standards.

Working closely with the Registered Manager and team, you’ll tackle scheduling challenges, improve processes and help the branch win new contracts as demand grows, while supporting colleagues to deliver excellent care.

Qualifications

• Experience in care coordination or rostering within domiciliary care.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Confidence using systems to manage rotas and service information.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead on care coordination and rota management.
• Oversee daily rotas and ensure care visits are covered.
• Manage schedule changes, staffing challenges and urgent requests.
• Support onboarding of new service users and new packages of care.
• Guide and support Care Coordinators and colleagues on a day-to-day basis.
• Identify and resolve scheduling issues to maintain smooth service delivery.

You'll take a lead role in coordinating care, supporting colleagues and maintaining excellent service delivery. Working closely with the Registered Manager and wider team, you'll help ensure we can meet growing demand while continuing to provide safe, reliable and person-centred care.

What you'll be doing

• Taking the lead on coordination
• Overseeing daily rotas and ensuring care visits are covered effectively
• Managing changes to schedules, resolving staffing challenges and responding to urgent requests
• Helping prioritise workloads and ensuring care delivery runs smoothly
• Supporting the onboarding of new service users and coordinating new packages of care
• Providing guidance and day-to-day support to Care Coordinators and other colleagues
• Helping resolve complex scheduling issues and service delivery queries
• Sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues to develop their skills
• Working closely with the Registered Manager to maintain a positive, collaborative team environment
• Helping the branch deliver new contracts and manage increasing demand
• Building strong relationships with service users, families and care staff
• Ensuring care plans, rotas and records are accurate and up to date
• Monitoring service quality and escalating safeguarding concerns or incidents appropriately
• Identifying ways to improve processes and make the service more efficient

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in care coordination, rostering or a similar role within domiciliary care
• The confidence to take ownership, support colleagues and manage competing priorities
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• A good understanding of care standards, safeguarding and person-centred support
• Confidence using systems to manage rotas, records and service information
• A proactive mindset and an interest in helping a growing branch succeed
