EQ Care Group is seeking a Senior Care Assistant (Team Leader) for Acer Lodge in Blackburn. You'll work both days and nights (8am–8pm and 8pm–8am), on a 24-hour week, with a salary of £17,172 to £18,283 per year.

The role focuses on leading care staff, building relationships with residents, and maintaining a high standard of personalised care. As a Team Leader, you’ll support residents to thrive, attend team meetings, and represent our brand with a warm, professional approach.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and internal applications.
• Experience in a similar environment desirable.

Responsabilités

• Lead the care team at all times to ensure a safe, effective and well-led care provision.
• Support residents to achieve their outcomes through an enabling and supportive approach.
• Represent the Acer Lodge brand with a professional and welcoming presence for staff, residents and visitors.
• Attend and actively contribute to team meetings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Home Manager.

Responsibilities and Duties

• To professionally lead the care team at all times to ensure a safe, effective and well lead care provision is maintained.
• Support the people in the home to achieve the outcomes they wish to achieve – through an enabling and supportive approach
• Represent the Acer Lodge brand by maintaining a professional and welcoming presence for all team members, residents, and visitors.
• Attend and actively contribute to team meetings.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Home Manager to support the overall functioning of the home.

Skills, Qualifications and Abilities

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Hold NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
• Experience within a similar environment desirable
• You need to be flexible, patient, with a ‘can do’ caring attitude, and a real 'people person'
• Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and internal applications; with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.
