Acer Lodge, Blackburn, part of EQ Care Group, is seeking a Domestic Assistant (Homemaker) for a 30-hour week that includes alternate weekends. You will help maintain cleanliness in resident rooms and communal areas and assist the laundry for everyone living in Acer Lodge.

You will work with the Home Manager to uphold hygiene standards and contribute to a welcoming environment for residents and visitors. COSHH awareness is desirable.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience within a similar environment desirable.
• NVQ Level 2 in housekeeping (or equivalent) or willingness to complete this qualification.
• Ability to work on a 7-day rota which will include weekends
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.

Role Overview

As a Domestic Assistant (Homemaker) at Acer Lodge, you will be placed at the heart of the home along with the people that live here. You will be responsible for the general cleanliness and tidiness within the home as well as the communal areas. Part of your duties will be to assist those working within the laundry to ensure clothes are washed, ironed, and neatly put away for everyone that lives in Acer Lodge. It is vital that you have some understanding of COSHH regulations.
