Job summary

Greensleeves Care is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to ensure high-quality care and a welcoming home environment. You will support residents with daily personal care, respond to calls, and coordinate with GPs and nurses to meet healthcare needs.

The role emphasises confidentiality, safe medication administration, and engagement with residents to maintain dignity and wellbeing in a 24-hour residential setting.

Qualifications

• Qualified in QCF diploma level 2 or equivalent in social care.
• Experience in safe administration of medication.
• Understanding of confidentiality and privacy requirements.
• Experience in providing care to residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care needs.
• Answer call bells, door and telephone; greet visitors.
• Liaise with GPs, District Nurses and other healthcare professionals to meet residents' healthcare needs.

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will:

• Help to ensure that all care, domestic and kitchen staff contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the Home and the creation of the right atmosphere.
• Assist residents with their personal care needs.
• Answer call bells, emergency bells, the door and the telephone: greet visitors.
• Ensure the healthcare needs of the residents are met by liaising with GPs, District Nurses, Chiropodists, etc.

To apply, you will need:

• Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) diploma in social care level 2 or other relevant qualification
• Proven ability and experience in safe administration of Medication
• An understanding of the importance of confidentiality
• Experience in providing care
