Job summary

Greensleeves Care in Ipswich is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to support residents in a 24-hour care setting, including dementia and nursing care.

You will assist with personal care, liaise with GPs and district nurses, respond to call bells, and help maintain a safe, respectful environment. The role offers comprehensive benefits and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• QCF diploma in social care level 2 or equivalent.
• Proven ability to administer medication safely.
• Understanding of confidentiality importance.
• Experience in providing care.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will

• Help to ensure that all care, domestic and kitchen staff contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the Home and the creation of the right atmosphere.
• Assist residents with their personal care needs.
• Answer call bells, emergency bells, the door and the telephone: greet visitors.
• Ensure the healthcare needs of the residents are met by liaising with GPs, District Nurses, Chiropodists, etc.

• Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) diploma in social care level 2 or other relevant qualification
• Proven ability and experience in safe administration of Medication
• An understanding of the importance of confidentiality
• Experience in providing care
