Job summary

Greensleeves Care is recruiting a Care Assistant (Days) to support residents across our homes in England. You will assist with daily living, uphold residents' rights to independence, privacy, dignity, and choice, and work within our values of respect, openness and responsibility.

Experience in care and understanding of confidentiality are essential. QCF Level 2 in Care is desirable. DBS checks apply, and sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Understanding of residents' needs is essential.
• Confidentiality is crucial in daily care.
• Experience in elder care is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Give support and care to residents while preserving independence, privacy and choice.
• Assist residents with dressing, washing, bathing, and toilet use.
• Help residents with mobility and use of aids and equipment.
• Support residents with personal hygiene including incontinence.
• Promote Greensleeves Care workplace values of respect, openness and responsibility.

As a Care Assistant (Days), you will:

• Give support and care to the residents whilst maintaining their rights to independence, privacy, dignity and choice and assist in their daily living.


• Assist residents who require help to dress/undress, wash, and bath and use the toilet.


• Assist residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities including the use and care of aids and personal equipment.


• Assist residents who need help with personal hygiene e.g. incontinence.


• Promote and adhere to the Greensleeves Care -Workplace values of respect, openness and responsibility.

• An understanding of the needs of residents (Essential)


• An understanding of the importance of confidentiality (Essential)


• Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) diploma in care level 2 or the equivalent (Desirable)


• Experience of providing care (Desirable)


• Experience of working with elders (Desirable)
