Job summary

Greensleeves Care is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to support older residents across 26 care homes in England. You will help with daily living tasks while upholding residents' rights to independence, privacy and dignity.

The role emphasizes compassion, confidentiality and teamwork within a supportive environment that values ongoing training and development.

Qualifications

• An understanding of the needs of residents.
• An understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
• QCF diploma in care level 2 or equivalent (Desirable).
• Experience of providing care (Desirable).
• Experience of working with elders (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Give support and care to residents while maintaining independence, privacy, dignity and choice.
• Assist residents with dressing, washing, bathing and toilet use.
• Aid mobility and use of aids and personal equipment.
• Support residents with personal hygiene, including continence needs.
• Promote Greensleeves Care workplace values of respect, openness and responsibility.

As a Care Assistant, you will:

• Give support and care to the residents whilst maintaining their rights to independence, privacy, dignity and choice and assist in their daily living.
• Assist residents who require help to dress/undress, wash, and bath and use the toilet.
• Assist residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities including the use and care of aids and personal equipment.
• Assist residents who need help with personal hygiene e.g. incontinence.
• Promote and adhere to the Greensleeves Care -Workplace values of respect, openness and responsibility.
