Job summary

Greensleeves Care, a respected UK care charity with 26 homes across England, is hiring a Senior Carer (Days). You will support residents with personal care, liaise with GPs and nurses, and help maintain a compassionate, safe home environment.

Desirable NVQ level qualifications and medication administration experience are required. DBS checks apply, and Greensleeves Care offers a range of learning opportunities and a strong benefits package.

• Experience in safe administration of medication (essential)

• Experience in providing care (essential)

Responsibilities

• Help ensure care, domestic and kitchen staff contribute to efficient running of the Home
• Assist residents with personal care needs
• Answer call bells, emergency bells, the door and the telephone; greet visitors
• Liaise with GPs, District Nurses, Chiropodists to meet healthcare needs of residents

Senior Carer - NVQ 3 Equivalent - £15.80 per hour

As a Senior Care Assistant (Days), you will:

• Help to ensure that all care, domestic and kitchen staff contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the Home and the creation of the right atmosphere.
• Assist residents with their personal care needs.
• Answer call bells, emergency bells, the door and the telephone: greet visitors.
• Ensure the healthcare needs of the residents are met by liaising with GPs, District Nurses, Chiropodists, etc.

• Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) diploma in social care level 2 or other relevant qualification (Desirable)
• Proven ability and experience in safe administration of Medication (Essential)
• An understanding of the importance of confidentiality (Essential)
• Experience in providing care (Essential)
