Job summary

Westerton Care Home in Bearsden, part of Care Concern Group, seeks a Senior Care Assistant to lead a care team and deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care to residents. You will supervise shift operations, oversee medication administration, monitor wellbeing, and respond to changes in condition to maintain safety and continuity of care.

You will maintain accurate care records, communicate with families and healthcare professionals, and support a compassionate, professional environment

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach

Our modern care home provides the highest quality of Residential, Dementia, Nursing & Respite care for 106-residents.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• £14.50 per hour
• Contracted to 33 - 38.5 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

We Are Looking For

• SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
