Job summary

Hazelwell Care Home in Wirral is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to guide a team in delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care. You will oversee shifts, organize care, and ensure consistent delivery to a high standard while supporting residents and families.

You will manage medications, monitor wellbeing, and maintain accurate records, working with healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum) and willingness to work towards Level 3.
• Medication administration training with competency essential.
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach.

Based in the Wirral, our stunning all-inclusive 55-bed care facility offers high-quality Nursing, Residential, Dementia & Respite care.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• £13.71 per hour
• Contracted to 48 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high-quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

We Are Looking For

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
