Job summary

The Ashton Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to guide and support the care team and deliver high-quality, person-centred care on shift. You will oversee medication administration, monitor residents’ wellbeing and ensure accurate care records are maintained for seamless communication with families and health professionals.

We require NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum) with Level 3 desirable, or willingness to work towards; competency in

• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial

Responsibilities

Job description

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• £13.71 per hour
• Contracted to 24-48 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents. You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate. You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care. The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
