Job summary

Victoria Park Care Home is seeking a Night Senior Care Assistant to guide and support their team in delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care for residents in a 32-bed home in Coventry. You will oversee medication, monitor wellbeing and ensure care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is the minimum.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care is desirable or willingness to work towards.
• Medication administration training with competency is essential.
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Caring, compassionate and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the smooth running of your shift and ensure high standards of care.
• Support and guide your team to deliver safe, person-centred care.
• Oversee medication administration and monitor residents' wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate care records and communicate with families and healthcare professionals.

Victoria Park Care Home is a 32 bed, purpose built care home located in the Stoke area of Coventry, West Midlands. Providing residential care for older people, the home offers a warm and welcoming environment where colleagues work together to deliver high quality, person centred care and make a real difference to the lives of Residents every day.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• Contracted to 33 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a night Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

We Are Looking For

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial
