Job summary

Avalon Park Care Home in Oldham is seeking a Night Senior Care Assistant to lead and support a dedicated team in delivering safe, person-centred care to our residents during the night shift.

You will oversee medication administration, maintain accurate care records, and coordinate with families and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of high-quality care. The role offers a supportive environment with development opportunities and a focus on resident wellbeing.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach

Responsibilities

About Avalon Park Care Home

Avalon Park Care Home in Oldham provides residential and residential dementia care for older people. With 58 bedrooms, the home offers a welcoming environment focused on person centred care, wellbeing and independence. As part of the team, you will work alongside experienced colleagues in a supportive environment, helping residents enjoy meaningful daily lives while developing your skills and experience.

Night Senior Care Assistant Contract

• £14.35 - £14.95 per hour
• Contracted to 33 or 44 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Night Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

We Are Looking For
