Job summary

Kings Park Care Home is a 40-bed facility in the UK providing nursing dementia and residential dementia care. The Senior Care Assistant supports a close team, delivering person-centred care and ensuring shifts run smoothly with safe medication administration and accurate records.

This role requires NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (level 3 desirable), strong communication, leadership, and a caring, professional approach.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person-centred care.
• Take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised and delivered to a high standard.
• Oversee medication administration, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to changes to keep care safe and appropriate.
• Maintain accurate care records and work closely with families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

About Kings Park Care Home

Our 40 bedded home provides nursing dementia and residential dementia care. Located in Hurst Cross, Kings Park is a welcoming home with a strong community feel and a supportive team who take pride in creating a positive environment for both residents and colleagues. Senior Care Assistant Contract

• £14.35 - £14.95 per hour
• Contracted to 33 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

We Are Looking For
