Job summary

Hesketh Park Lodge Care Home in Southport, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to lead a team and deliver high quality, person-centred care. You will manage shift operations, organise care delivery, oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and maintain records with families and healthcare professionals.

The role requires NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (Level 3 desirable), medication training, strong communication and leadership skills, and you may work

Qualifications

• Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
• Medication administration training with competency
• Experience supporting or leading a care team
• Strong communication and leadership skills

Job description

Hesketh Park Lodge Care Home is a modern, purpose built 79 bed care home in Southport, Merseyside, delivering high quality residential, nursing, dementia and respite care within a supportive, person centred environment.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• £13.62 per hour
• Contracted to 36 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.

We Are Looking For

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach
