Job summary

We offer PVG reimbursement, pension, uniform and 5.6 weeks annual leave based on a full-time contract, with hours roughly 33–38.5 per week and a market-rate hourly wage of £14.50.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is required
• SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care is desirable or willingness to work towards it
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Caring, compassionate and professional approach

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the care team to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
• Oversee medication administration and monitor residents' wellbeing.

Our modern care home provides the highest quality of Residential, Dementia, Nursing & Respite care for 106-residents.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• £14.50 per hour
• Contracted to 33 - 38.5 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

We Are Looking For

• SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach
