Job summary

UK Power Networks in Crawley is seeking a Senior Cable/Circuit Designer to join the Capital Programme - Engineering Design team. You will produce circuit designs, manage project costings and ensure compliance with design standards for APP and contestable works.

The role requires extensive experience in EHV designs, collaboration with project managers and designers, and mentoring of junior engineers. A blended working arrangement is available after probation.

Qualifications

• Produce circuit designs (below ground and in air) in compliance with standards and CDM requirements.
• Produce designs conforming to Codes of Practice and standards with Electrical engineering works.
• Oversee production of technical, commercial and contractual documents for procurement.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to the customer.
• Collaborate with Designers, Estimators and Planners to ensure smooth process from enquiry to connection.
• Sign off designs and mentor junior staff in technical knowledge and safety practices.
