Job summary

UK Power Networks is seeking a Senior Cable/Circuit Designer in Crawley to join the Capital Programme - Engineering Design. You will produce circuit designs for APP and non-contestable works, mentor junior engineers, and ensure compliance with design standards and CDM regulations.

Hybrid working model after probation and a competitive package are offered. The role requires extensive EHV circuit design experience, strong CAD skills, and the ability to coordinate with project managers and other

Qualifications

• Civil/Circuit Engineering degree with relevant Cable/OHL and substation experience.
• Circuit engineering background with experience in EHV design and construction for utilities.
• Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and safety practices (IOSH trained).
• Ability to work with external stakeholders and customers.
• Proven experience in producing Bills of Materials and design drawings for construction.

Responsibilities

• Produce circuit designs (below ground and in air) conforming to standards and CDM requirements.
• Collaborate with Project Manager, Electrical/Civil designers, and Alliance members to ensure compliant designs.
• Oversee and contribute to procurement documents and costings for engineering products.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations and company procedures.
