Job Title: Senior Business Development Manager, Liverpool

Location: Home-based with regular travel around assigned area and to Liverpool office

Job Description:

The Business Development Manager will work closely with Senior Management of Gray Healthcare (GHC) and in line with the organisation's Business Development Strategy. The role involves actively seeking opportunities to develop established and new commissioning relationships, growing the business, innovating, and enhancing service delivery. This position supports GHC's growth plans across multiple locations, focusing on complex community-based support for adults with mental health, learning disabilities, and autism.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving targets, driving growth, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Employ a customer-centric approach to facilitate referrals and growth opportunities.
  2. Develop new business opportunities independently and with Senior Management.
  3. Collaborate with the Assessment and Contract Manager on process compliance and costings.
  4. Build relationships with ICBs, Trusts, NHS to raise brand awareness.
  5. Maintain excellent relationships with social workers, care managers, and other healthcare professionals.
  6. Monitor competitor activity and develop market strategies in assigned areas.
  7. Generate meetings and marketing campaigns to promote GHC services.

Skills and Experience:

  1. Experience in social care services for individuals with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs.
  2. Minimum three years in a similar senior role with successful outcomes.
  3. Understanding of NHS, LA, and ICB commissioning and procurement processes.
  4. Strong leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  5. Excellent communication and IT skills.
  6. Knowledge of safeguarding and employer responsibilities.
  7. Valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
