Job Description:

Calling all EdTech / SAAS / Publishing sales professionals with German language fluency! A rare new opportunity has arisen for a results-driven Senior Business Development Manager, DACH (German speaking), to join a highly successful publishing software services and education technology supplier. This company works with global educational publishers (including ELT publishers), EdTechs, International Schools, Private Language Schools, and Ministries of Education worldwide. This is a permanent, home-based / fully remote position offering a competitive salary package. The ideal candidate will be based in the UK, Germany, Austria, or Switzerland.

The main remit of the Senior Business Development Manager, DACH role is to drive sustainable financial growth by boosting sales of products in existing and new markets and forging strong relationships with clients across the region. Responsibilities include:

  1. Develop key new business sales strategies, tactics, and action plans for the region
  2. Successfully execute these strategies to achieve or exceed targets
  3. Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline
  4. Provide transparency on progress to support accurate revenue forecasting
  5. Identify emerging markets and market shifts
  6. Understand customer trends and convert them into sales opportunities
  7. Build meaningful and sustainable customer relationships
  8. Liaise closely with colleagues cross-functionally to achieve objectives and support product evolution
  9. Make full use of existing data to leverage success

Ideal candidates will have demonstrated commercial success in the B2B software or SaaS solutions space, experience selling into the Publishing or Education sectors, and an understanding of the complexities of selling technology solutions into global publishers. They should be able to develop strong, consultative, C-suite level relationships with decision makers. Being digitally savvy and aware of the latest trends in EdTech is essential. The ability to work autonomously and remotely, prioritize key accounts and new business opportunities, and provide accurate sales forecasts is important. Candidates must possess top-notch communication and presentation skills, with C1 level fluency in English and German, and be self-starters with a results-driven approach and a passion for sales and digital education / EdTech.
