Job summary

Severn Trent Plc in Coventry seeks a Senior Business Analyst to lead analysis across complex change programmes. You will work with architects, engineers, product owners and delivery leads to shape end-to-end solutions and define delivery artefacts.

The role operates across strategic and delivery levels within the Technology function, with mentoring responsibilities and a 37-hour week. Hybrid working from the Severn Trent Centre Head Office is supported.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Senior Business Analyst within a technology-led environment.
• Proven track record on complex systems, integrations, or large transformation programmes.
• Strong experience in Agile or hybrid delivery environments at scale.
• Confidence engaging senior business and technology stakeholders, influencing without authority.
• Ability to move between strategic thinking and detailed delivery.
• Pragmatic, outcomes-focused mindset with a passion for improving how technology enables the business.
• Experience utilising AI tools and emerging technologies to develop BA practice, including governance and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Leading business analysis activities across complex, multi-workstream technology programmes.
• Working with architects, engineers, product owners, and delivery leads to shape end-to-end solutions.
• Owning the analysis approach for projects, setting standards across the BA community.
• Facilitating high-impact workshops with senior stakeholders to define problems and outcomes.
• Translating strategic objectives and regulatory needs into clear delivery artefacts.
• Defining current- and future-state processes, systems, and data flows.
• Supporting prioritisation and decision-making to optimise value.
• Mentoring and coaching Business Analysts for development and capability uplift.
