Job summary

Vocative Consulting is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to shape how the organisation uses technology and change to move forward from Taunton. You will work with senior stakeholders to challenge thinking, design solutions and ensure delivery of value.

This strategic BA role requires interrogating business needs, guiding complex change, and acting as the trusted link between business and IT. Hybrid working with Taunton base.

Qualifications

• A strong track record delivering in fast-paced, high-performing change environments.
• Hands-on experience with system rollouts, integrations and business change projects.
• Confidence managing stakeholders at all levels, internal and external.
• A knack for clear, high-quality written deliverables (process flows, data requirements, UI specs).
• Comfort working autonomously in matrix project teams.
• Excellent communication skills and a business-outcome mindset, framing requirements around value.

Responsibilities

• Leading BA activity across IT implementation, integration and configuration projects.
• Running in-depth process mapping and requirements gathering with stakeholders across the business.
• Turning complex needs into clear specifications, user stories and design documentation.
• Spotting design issues and downstream impacts before they become problems.
• Partnering with IT teams and third-party providers to keep projects on track.
• Helping shape the BA function, its standards and ways of working.
• Coaching and quality-checking work from junior team members.
• Engaging confidently with senior stakeholders, managing expectations and influencing outcomes.
