Job summary

Thames Water’s Digital and Transformation teams in Reading seek a Business Analyst to gather, analyse and document requirements for business and technology change initiatives. You will work with Project Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet governance and delivery standards.

You will identify enhancement opportunities, shape solutions, and contribute to robust BA practices across the project lifecycle, collaborating to drive value across people,

Qualifications

• Experience delivering digital or IT projects as a Business Analyst.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration across delivery teams.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills to drive workshops and decisions.
• Solid analytical and problem‑solving abilities, including root cause analysis.
• Ability to work semi‑independently in a dynamic environment and manage workload.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and analyse business situations to identify problems and opportunities.
• Gather, analyse, and document functional and non‑functional requirements.
• Create and manage Epics, Features, and User Stories in Azure DevOps.
• Facilitate backlog refinement and support sprint planning.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to maintain a healthy backlog.
• Ensure requirements are baselined, traceable, and controlled through changes.
