Responsibilities
  • Requirements Gathering: Work with Business and Legal Affairs program management to understand privacy, consent, and regulatory priorities and generate detailed technical requirements for implementation.
  • Roadmapping: Work with program management to create and maintain engineering and delivery roadmaps, ensuring alignment with value goals.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify risks associated with initiatives in collaboration with program / project management.
  • Instinct vs Process: Apply critical thinking to prioritize North Star success criteria and adjust processes where appropriate.
  • Relationship Building: Build trust by nurturing relationships across the organization to solve problems efficiently.

SoundCloud is looking for a sharp, technically savvy Senior Business Analyst to generate and document technical requirements for consent, privacy and regulatory engineering needs. You'll be the knowledge owner of goals and implementation details, working with program / project managers and engineering teams to shake out actionable specifications.

You need to be comfortable autonomously jumping into various domains, creating focus and order amid conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 5-8+ years as a business analyst with progressive responsibility in requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder management.
Skills & Responsibilities
  • Requirements Analysis: Translate ambiguous business needs into clear, actionable, and testable requirements.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills; break down complex problems into structured steps.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, especially in explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Stakeholder Management: Facilitate discussions, balance competing priorities and build consensus across teams.
  • Documentation: Create effective requirements documentation, process flows and artifacts with attention to detail.
  • Autonomy: Work independently, handle multiple priorities and adapt without constant direction.
  • Tools: Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Miro, Google Sheets, Slides, etc.
