Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Cardiff is seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor to lead refurbishment and feasibility projects across multiple sectors. You will manage client relationships, mentor junior surveyors and line-manage a small team while delivering high-quality surveying services.

You will apply JCT/NEC contracts, drive bid development and contribute to business opportunities, while upholding health and safety standards and a commitment to excellence on high-profile UK projects.

Qualifications

• MRICS Chartered status is essential or highly desirable.
• Sound technical surveying knowledge and significant building surveying experience.
• Experience managing clients with profitability awareness and business development.
• Experience mentoring, training and coaching team members.
• Line management experience is desirable.
• Full understanding of Health and Safety requirements and Statutory Compliance.
• Excellent time management and commitment to completing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking a range of building surveying services including feasibility studies, specifications, estimates, approvals and contract administration for refurbishment projects.
• Working across multiple projects in different sectors, providing refurbishment, improvement and modernisation work.
• Applying standard forms of building contract (JCT/NEC).
• Mentoring and training Building Surveyors and providing Supervisor support to junior staff on APC programme.
• Supporting senior managers in day-to-day activities.
• Line management of junior Building Surveying staff.
• Development of new business opportunities including bids.
