Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join our Exeter office and lead a growing Building Surveying team across public and private sectors.

You will develop client relationships, manage commissions from inception to completion, mentor junior staff and contribute to business development while delivering high-quality surveying services and asset management advice across the Southwest.

Responsibilities

• Delivering a broad range of Building Surveying services across public and private sector clients.
• Managing projects throughout their full lifecycle from inception through to completion.
• Undertaking and managing condition surveys and asset assessment programmes.
• Delivering professional instructions including defect diagnosis, dilapidations, technical due diligence and planned maintenance advice.
• Acting as Contract Administrator and Employer’s Agent on refurbishment and construction projects.
• Preparing specifications, schedules of work, reports and technical documentation.
• Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact.
• Producing fee proposals, scopes of service and contractual submissions.
• Supporting business development and contributing to winning new work.
• Collaborating with colleagues across AtkinsRéalis to provide integrated client solutions.
• Attending industry, client and networking events to strengthen market presence.
• Mentoring and developing Assistant and Building Surveyors working within the team.
• Managing workload, project resources and financial performance.
