Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Chartered Senior Building Surveyor to join our Bristol team within the Buildings and Places Business. You will manage client relationships, lead refurbishment and modernisation projects, and mentor junior surveyors across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying (RICS accredited).
• Chartered status is highly desirable.
• Experience in managing clients with profitability and business development.
• Mentoring, training and coaching team members.
• Experience managing workloads and projects.
• Drafting technical documents including client requirements, asset reviews, specifications and drawings.
• Strong health and safety knowledge and statutory compliance.
• Experience with Dilapidations, Party Wall, Fire Risk, Access Assessments.
• Excellent time management and ability to travel as required.
• Proficiency in IT tools; Word and Excel; AutoCAD and NBS; Revit is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work across several projects in different sectors delivering refurbishment, improvement and modernisation projects.
• Undertake feasibility studies, prepare specifications, obtain estimates, secure approvals and administer contracts.
• Apply standard forms of building contracts (JCT/NEC).
• Provide building surveying professional services and supervise NEC qualifications.
• Mentor and train Building Surveyors and support junior staff.
• Support senior managers in day-to-day activities and develop new business opportunities.
• Carry out surveys, inspections, schedules and manage regional schemes.
• Manage client relationships and ensure high standards of service.
