Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Cardiff is seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor to lead a multidisciplinary team across retail, health, energy, and education sectors. You will manage client relationships, deliver refurbishment projects, and drive quality and profitability.

You will mentor junior surveyors, supervise APC trainees, and contribute to business development while upholding health and safety standards and statutory compliance.

Qualifications

• Chartered Building Surveyor with post-qualification experience
• Experience managing clients with profitability and business development
• Mentoring and coaching team members
• Line management experience desirable
• Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements and statutory compliance
• Excellent time management and commitment to delivering results

Responsibilities

• Undertake a range of building surveying services including feasibility studies, specifications, estimates, statutory approvals and contract administration for refurbishment projects
• Work across multiple projects in different sectors delivering refurbishment, improvement and modernisation works
• Lead and mentor junior Building Surveyors and supervise APC trainees
• Develop new business opportunities including bids and client engagement
• Support senior management with day-to-day activities and line management of staff
