Job summary

WSP is seeking a senior design manager to lead Building Services design delivery on Heathrow projects. Based primarily at our Heathrow office, you will mentor engineers, coordinate MEP, structural and architectural interfaces, and ensure designs meet programme, budget and quality expectations.

You will drive design programmes, manage change, support bids and client relations, and foster a collaborative, high‑performing team across offices in Brighton, Southampton, and London areas.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in design management within Building Services, aviation or similarly complex, regulated environments.
• Experience in leading multidisciplinary design teams, including management of design programmes, deliverables, and interfaces across MEP, structural, and architectural disciplines.
• Proven ability to manage design processes, tools, and systems (including BIM, digital design platforms, and coordination tools), ensuring alignment with project and programme requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, management, and coordination of Building Services design with other disciplines, across all project stages within Heathrow programmes.
• Ensure that design deliverables are technically sound, fully coordinated, and aligned with project requirements and constraints.
• Act as the central point of integration between MEP disciplines, architectural, structural, and specialist systems.
• Drive a right-first-time approach, reducing rework and improving overall design efficiency.
