Job summary

WSP is seeking a senior design leader to drive Building Services design across Heathrow programmes, coordinating MEP, structural and architectural interfaces to deliver robust, compliant solutions.

You will mentor senior engineers, oversee design programmes, and work with commercial teams to align design with cost and schedule constraints, ensuring a high-performing project delivery culture.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in design management within Building Services or equivalent.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary design teams across MEP, structural and architectural interfaces.
• Proficiency with BIM and digital design platforms for coordinated design outputs.
• Understanding of design risk, governance, and compliance in regulated environments.
• Ability to guide teams independently and in collaboration to deliver high-quality design solutions.
• Experience delivering Building Services designs within large complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and coordination of Building Services design across Heathrow programmes.
• Ensure deliverables are fully coordinated and compliant with requirements.
• Act as central integration point between MEP, architectural, structural and specialist systems.
• Drive design reviews, governance, and stage-gate compliance.
• Support tender bids with technical design methodologies and resourcing strategies.
• Engage with client and stakeholders to translate requirements into practical design outputs.
