Job summary

WSP is seeking a senior design management lead for Heathrow programmes, coordinating multidisciplinary teams across MEP, structural, and architectural disciplines. You will drive design programmes, manage deliverables, ensure compliance, and align with budget and schedule.

Role supports development of technical capability and integrated design solutions. You will mentor engineers, lead workshops, and maintain strong client relations, delivering right-first-time design across complex building

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in design management within building services or aviation environments.
• Experience leading and coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and managing design programmes/deliverables.
• Proficiency with BIM, digital design platforms, and coordination tools.
• Understanding of design risk, technical assurance, and compliance with client/regulatory standards.
• Proven ability to lead teams and foster a high-performing environment.
• Experience delivering Building Services designs within complex projects at Heathrow or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, management, and coordination of Building Services design across all project stages.
• Ensure design outputs are fully coordinated, technically sound, and aligned with requirements.
• Act as central integration point between MEP, architectural, structural, and specialist systems.
• Support design governance, risk management, and change control across projects.
