Job summary

WSP is seeking a senior Design Manager to oversee Building Services design across Heathrow programmes, mentoring design engineers and coordinating MEP, structural and architectural interfaces to deliver coordinated, compliant solutions.

You will lead design governance, manage programmes, and drive a right-first-time approach within a Heathrow-based Services South team with hybrid working options.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in design management within Building Services, aviation or similar complex environments.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary design teams and manage design programmes and interfaces.
• Experience with BIM, digital design platforms, and design coordination tools.
• Knowledge of design risk, assurance, and regulatory compliance for Heathrow standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design teams across MEP, structural and architectural disciplines to deliver coordinated designs.
• Develop and manage design programmes, scopes, and review stages.
• Monitor design progress against programme and budget; support monthly project reviews.
• Support tender bids with technical and design management perspectives.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to communicate design intent and requirements.
• Lead design governance, reviews, and change management processes.
